Isle of Man<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text\"><p style=\"font-size: 16px; text-align: justify;\">Schon seit zwei Jahren besch\u00e4ftigte ich mich mit der Idee, Ende August mit der M\u00fcnch zum \u201eManx Grand Prix\u201c auf der Isle of Man zu fahren.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; text-align: justify;\">So buchte ich Anfang 2017 F\u00e4hren und Unterbringung. Mitte August war es vorbei mit der Tr\u00e4umerei und dem Pl\u00e4ne schmieden. Das Motorrad wurde von mir ordentlich gewartet und vorbereitet. Bei einer Probefahrt stellte ich erhebliche Stotterei im Teilbereich des Leerlaufes fest. Die Maschine bewegte sich nur widerwillig vorw\u00e4rts. Also mal eben schnell die Vergaserd\u00fcsen raus und durchgeblasen. Elektronische Z\u00fcndung (Sachse) im Pr\u00fcfmodus gecheckt. Am anderen Tag philosophierte ich dar\u00fcber mit Rolf Damen. Er meinte, der Schilderung nach, k\u00f6nnte es Spritmangel sein &#8211; aber immer schwierig am Telefon per Ferndiagnose&#8230; Mit meinen 62 Lenzen f\u00fchlte ich mich alt, undynamisch und total erfolglos. Mein Kumpel meinte l\u00e4ssig, ich k\u00f6nnte ja auch noch die Guzzi nehmen. Mit harten Worten kl\u00e4rte ich ihn auf, dass mein Ziel mit M\u00fcnch und nicht ohne M\u00fcnch hei\u00dft. Ich suchte weiter. Kraftstoffpumpe f\u00f6rdert, Schwimmerkammern voll. Sie stotterte weiter vor sich hin. Es ist zu erw\u00e4hnen, dass bei langsamer Fahrweise auch (Gasgriff etwas gedreht) noch in den h\u00f6heren G\u00e4ngen das Benzingemisch aus Teilbereichen des Leerlaufsystems und von der Beschleunigerpumpe kommt. Rolf hatte Spritmangel angesprochen. Also gab ich kurz sto\u00dfartig Halbgas ( Beschleunigerpumpe) und sie lief kurz etwas besser. Der zweite Tag mit Suchen und Schrauben ging zu Neige. Meine Stimmung war auf dem Nullpunkt. Alles war gebucht, bezahlt und jetzt dieses Problem. Das Leerlaufsystem ging mir durch den Kopf. Zum zweiten Mal \u00f6ffnete ich die kleinen, runden Schwimmerkammerdeckel und holte Haupt- und Leerlaufd\u00fcsenst\u00f6cke heraus. Alles wurde nochmals peinlichst zerlegt, gereinigt und ausgeblasen. Ich schaute mir die Leerlaufd\u00fcse an und entdeckte mit einer Top-Taschenlampe an der Unterseite eine Art Ablagerung. Mit einer kleinen Stecknadel stocherte ich darin herum, immer weiter, bis dann etwas zu Tage kam, das wie eine \u00d6ffnung aussah. Meine Stimmung schlug schlagartig um in Euphorie. Sorgf\u00e4ltig legte ich die \u00d6ffnung frei und reinigte sie. Es war eine kleine Leerlaufd\u00fcsen\u00f6ffnung. Die anderen drei waren ebenso \u201ewie zugewachsen\u201c und wurden gereinigt. Es war solange her und die unteren \u00d6ffnungen hatte ich einfach vergessen. Die anschlie\u00dfende Probefahrt verlief zufriedenstellend.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; text-align: justify;\">Den Freitag nutzte ich mit diversen Reisevorbereitungen, wie Notwerkzeug in einen Sack packen. Da mein Freund mich so \u201enett\u201c auf meine Moto Guzzi aufmerksam gemacht hatte, packte ich noch einiges mehr in den Sack ein. Ich musste ihn schwer anheben und befestigte ihn auf der R\u00fccksitzbank seiner neuen BMW-GS. Unser Deal lautete: \u201eIch bereite alles f\u00fcr die IOM vor und Deine fette Berta hat die gro\u00dfe Ehre ein Service-Fahrzeug f\u00fcr eine M\u00fcnch zu sein\u201c. Ich selber reiste nur mit leichtem Gep\u00e4ck.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; text-align: left;\">\u201eM\u00fcnch first\u201c\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; text-align: justify;\">Samstagvormittag starteten wir gem\u00fctlich vom Raum Hanau \u00fcber Autobahn bis Rheinb\u00f6llen, Hundsr\u00fcckh\u00f6henstrasse E42, Eifel- und Ardennen-Autobahn, Liege bis kurz vor Br\u00fcssel. Nachmittags schlenderten wir durch die \u201eAlbert Docks\u201c. Alles ist hier neu restauriert und sch\u00f6n gestaltet (Industriekultur). Ich erinnere mich an das Ende der siebziger Jahre. Liverpool hatte schwer unter der englischen Wirtschaftskrise zu leiden. Auf dem Platz vor dem jetzigen Luxushotel stand eine verfallene Halle. Monate vorher trat ich in den englischen Motorradclub VMCC (Vintage Motor Cycle Club) ein. Es ist Bedingung, um ein Ticket f\u00fcr das Rennen auf dem Flugfeld zu bekommen. Bis zum gro\u00dfen Sonntag besuchten wir einige Trainingsl\u00e4ufe auf der TT-Strecke oder fuhren mit der Dampfbahn nach Port Erin. Dort auf der Insel gibt es viele M\u00f6glichkeiten, einen sch\u00f6nen Tag zu verbringen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; text-align: justify;\">Das \u201cFestival of Jurby\u201c ist eine gro\u00dfe Tagesveranstaltung f\u00fcr Motorradliebhaber auf einem ehemaligen Flugplatz.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; text-align: justify;\">Besagter Sonntag war nun da. Morgens fuhren wir zwei mit den Maschinen nach Jurby. K\u00fchler Fahrtwind und teilweise der Blick auf die See vermittelten mir, einfach gesagt, ein gl\u00fcckliches aber auch aufregendes Gef\u00fchl. Angekommen, hie\u00df man uns im Fahrerlager \u201eWelcome\u201c. Die Girls and Boys gaben Gas, was das Zeug h\u00e4lt. Beschleunigen ging bei mir einigerma\u00dfen, Probleme beim Abbremsen kennen ja viele von Euch. Meine eigene Beurteilung: Der \u201eM\u00fcnchfahrer\u201c gab sich viel M\u00fche. Und so fuhren wir die Schlacht unseres Lebens gegen BSA, Norton, Triumph, Vincent und sonstige R\u00f6sser. Doch einige hatten nicht mit meiner Ausdauer gerechnet. Z\u00e4h hielt ich mich im Mittelfeld. Es war h\u00e4rteste Arbeit f\u00fcr mich und<br \/>\nmeine Maschine, wir beide \u201edampften\u201c m\u00e4chtig.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; text-align: justify;\">Nach dem Rennen bedankte sich ein Sprecher f\u00fcr die tolle Teilnahme mit der Bitte, man m\u00f6ge doch auch das Mittags- und Nachmittagsrennen fahren. Die Veranstaltung ginge ja bis 18:00 Uhr. Ich war von einem Rennen ausgegangen. Oh Schreck! Kurz gesagt: M\u00fcnch und ich absolvierten auch noch die anderen beiden Rennen. Ohne Flei\u00df kein Preis!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; text-align: justify;\">Eine Bekannte berichtete mir sp\u00e4ter, der Sprecher h\u00e4tte \u00fcber ein paar technische Daten informiert und u.a. auch dar\u00fcber, dass der Fahrer mit seiner M\u00fcnch-Mammut auf eigener Achse aus Deutschland angereist sei. Die Nachtf\u00e4hre startete abends 18:00 Uhr nach Zeebrugge. Von dort fuhren wir eine Tagesreise &#8211; bis Mittwochabend \u2013 nach Hause. Wir waren gl\u00fccklich, gesund und unfallfrei daheim angekommen zu sein. Motor, Getriebe und Fahrwerk der M\u00fcnch liefen wie ein Schweizer Uhrwerk. (Bei der \u201eGS\u201c nat\u00fcrlich keine Frage\u2026) Lediglich die Kupplung plagte mich durch eine gewisse Schwerg\u00e4ngigkeit. Nehme ich auf meine Kappe. Teile zur Reparatur habe ich in meiner Werkstatt liegen.
